Being a chiropractor is just a job for some, but for our staff here at The Function Palo Alto, the healing arts are a calling. Each and every individual you meet at The Function Chiropractic & Wellness is dedicated and committed to our client's health and well-being.
Dr. Cedric Stewart opened the Function Chiropractic and Wellness on a leap of faith in 2021. He is a graduate of Adams State University where he studied Sociology and Psychology. He received his Doctorate from Life Chiropractic College West in 2018 and currently serves as a full-time professor at Life West where he enjoys teaching and loves sharing the profession. Dr. Cedric knew chiropractic was his calling “when I played college football I was searching for low back pain relief and nothing seemed to help. I was convinced to see a chiropractor, and my stress seemed to fade away with every visit. That day back in the summer of 2013 I realized that being a Chiropractor and helping people was what I was meant to do. ” He says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is “giving, loving, and serving with abundance to all his patients.” His passion is facilitating and empowering a healthy lifestyle in the Bay Area community. Dr. Cedric enjoys living in the Bay Area with his beautiful wife and their four young children. He enjoys sports, cooking, music, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Rebekah Boron-Trotter received her Doctorate from Life Chiropractic College West and her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from California State University Monterey Bay.
Dr. Rebekah takes a holistic approach to chiropractic. She believes there are different ways to treat conditions of the body other than medication or surgery. Having experience in both private and corporate practice cultivated her experience in treating a wide range of ailments and helped develop valuable clinical skills. From geriatric patients and athletes, to growing teens, she has treated a diverse population that reflects Hayward and Palo Alto’s community. Dr. Rebekah provides a full spine diversified approach and specializes in the drop table method, activator protocol, and extremity work.
One of the best moments of her career was attending a service trip that provided free Chiropractic care to the underprivileged communities in Mexico City. Her goal with her patients is to be able to improve the quality of their life and leave them feeling better than when they came in. She believes that every patient has a unique story to tell and playing a positive part in their recovery process makes the job worth it.
In her free time, Dr. Rebekah enjoys the cultural diversity, endless options for places to eat, and the different activities the Bay Area has to offer. She also enjoys traveling, binge watching new TV shows, and spending time with her friends, family, and of course, her beloved rabbit Bella.
